Flying Goose - Medallion XIX
Flying Goose - Medallion XIX
A Soaring Goose to Lead the Way.
Difficulty: Beginner
Reverse appliqué pattern – Hand & Machine directions with Machine piecing
(30" x 30")
Flying Goose is our first animal. The design was initially motivated by the 2023 No. CO Shop Hop quilt. It started out as just the center of that quilt, but I decided to go ahead and develop it as a free-standing medallion pattern.
Our reverse applique goose flies boldly across the center block with his wings spread in flight, leading the pieced inner border of flying geese. The goose makes a bold and noble statement, no matter the fabrics you choose. Make this piece as a stand-alone medallion or as the centerpiece of a quilt of your own design.
