Have creative fun making and designing your own Mola with this kit! A mola is a colorful, multi-layered reverse applique piece for hand stitching. Start with the Mola Magic with Block 10 pattern that includes 4 patterns to choose from. Then trace, layer, baste, cut and stitch through the layers, creating as you go.

Fabrics are quality batiks, and include 3 Fat Quarters, 1 FQ each of black, yellow, and purple, and 1 Fat Eighth of an accent color. There are 4 choices of accent colors: turquoise, red, orange and pink.

In Kit 1 you get the Mola Magic with Block 10 pattern plus the fabric. The pattern comes with step-by-step directions for hand reverse applique, and 4 pattern pieces: a plain pattern design for self-creation and 3 mola pattern designs to follow. The plain design, pattern A, gives you the greatest freedom for designing your mola. Patterns B, C and D are from simple to complex mola designs for you to follow, or at least get you started. No matter which pattern piece you start with, the ultimate detail of your mola is up to you and your imagination.

This kit gives you everything you need to create one 12” x 12” mola block for loads of creative stitching fun.

In Kit 2 you get just the fabric. This would be the kit to buy if you are purchasing a PDF version of the Mola Magic with Block 10 pattern.
